It's important to have a social strategy for the upcoming year but where do you start? There are so many resources out there in regards to social media but I'm breaking down the best real estate social media tips for 2022 so you can get the most out of your platforms!



What platforms should I be on?

This is a common question being asked by REALTORS® on where they should be posting to and the answer really is "it depends." This is when you want to look at your client base and see what platforms they are on the most. Our top 3 platforms we suggest for agents are Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn as this is where you will see the best results. If your demographic is a little bit older then Facebook should be where you focus on. If your clients are very professional and career driven, LinkedIn could be a great place for you to feature your content. Instagram's demographic does lean younger but it's also where all the features are happening like Reels and IGTV so it's always a great platform to have a solid strategy for.


Real Estate Social Media Tip #1:

Your content can be shared across all three platforms and really should be! You can create goals for each platform after posting on them consistently and seeing what kind of metrics you're receiving from each of them. It's never a bad idea to have a presence on all these platforms.



How many times should I post a week?

Another great question for "it depends!" Every REALTOR® is different and should be treated that way. If you have a lot going on in your business maybe it does make sense to post daily but if you're struggling to find content then it's okay to scale back your posting frequency. A good rule of thumb is at least 3 times a week. That way you're still present with your client base but not killing yourself to produce a lot of content.

Always show your face when posting on your accounts. Your clients follow YOU so make sure you're showcasing yourself on your pages. It's important for real estate agents on social media to remember that it's still about connecting with their clients in a personal way.
